Who am I?
My name is Nicholas (Nick) Ingrande. I am a Middle School Math Teacher. I have taught 6th and 7th grade math for seven years. I have worked at Horace Mann, Taft, and Montgomery Middle Schools in the San Diego Unified School District. The best part of teaching is the interaction with the students. I love hearing their stories and learning about their lives and cultures. The worst part about teaching is the politics.
Personally, I was born and raised in San Diego. There is no place on earth I’d rather live. I wish it was a little more affordable, but I love living here. I am married to my beautiful wife,Tana, and we have a beautiful son, Vito , who is one year old. My favorite things in life are family, cooking, and sports.
I attended college at SDSU, where I received my degree in Liberal Studies. I received my Bachelor’s Degree in 1999 and began teaching in 2001. I am currently attending SDSU to pursue my Master’s Degree in Educational Technology.
This year I am teaching three classes of a new program called Bridge to Algebra and two classes of 6th grade math. I am looking forward to working with you this year and I hope this Blog will help us communicate and keep you posted on what is going on in class.
